Dante is a 2 year old male Pomeranian/ American Eskimo mix. He's a very good dog who has been socialized with cats, dogs and kids. He's fairly mellow but could certainly do with some steady exercise to work off a few extra pounds. He is crate trained but clearly enjoys being with his family more. He does fine with cats and other dogs. Dante was even lucky enough to get a chance to go to the beach with his foster family! He does perfect off leash and even goes in the water.
Ah, what to say about Banjo. Banjo has had a pretty rough start in life. He was left outside since he was a puppy and when he started jumping 6 foot fences to escape they opted to tie him to a tree. When we arrived to pick him up, you could smell the poor guy from a hundred feet away. He'd never been bathed or had that long shepherd fur brushed out. This guy has little to no obedience training and though we've been working on it. It's taking some work to get him acclimated to the house, but again its a work in progress. He does fine in a crate however, and does excellent with other dogs. His biggest redeeming quality is his VERY loving personality. He also loves to chase balls. Banjo does fine with other dogs but needs a home with NO cats.
Nanet is a a beautiful 3 year old APBT. She was brought in a stray in terrible condition, and when we arrived at the vet we found out she was micro-chipped to Multnomah County Animal Shelter. She had been in and out of the shelter multiple times and her previous owners really hadn't taken very good care of her. MCAS was fortunate enough to have her owners surrender Nanet, and after getting spayed and some much needed vet care she's now hanging out in a foster home. She's an awesome little girl who strives for nothing more then to make her people happy (though a treat here and there is just fine with her!). She does fine with other dogs and reportedly does great with her foster families 1 year old daughter. A pet meet and home check will be required.
Tank came to us as a two week old puppy. He was bottle fed for a couple of days, and then we were fortunate enough to find a mamma dog who had recently had puppies and as such, tank was adopted by Lucy and has an adopted brother and sister (though they are two weeks younger and a different breed). Tanks mother was a Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix and though the father is unkown, we speculate he was a king charles spaniel. Tank is currently being socialized with other dogs and he's very people oriented. He will be available to go to his new home july 9th.
